the mixstory - project by [jsf]
A portal of my mixes all virtually done [most without headphones]. I am not a DJ [per say] even though I fancy myself one. Consider me more of a selector who likes/appreciates Pop, HipHop/Rap, Alternative Rock, House, R&B, Trance and Reggae-Dancehall music. [among others]
OK Let's speak of copyright; mixes are available only as a free download [direct mp3] but you may not;
descredit me [the mixer] or claim credit for any mixes.
sell any of my mixes.
re-mix/edit the music.
change the id3 tags.
positively you may;
distribute/re-copy to anyone/everyone.
rename the mixes.
publish on your web or whatever [as long as jsf is mentioned].
What will happen if you do not comply;
I will seek you out and personally perform an appendectomy [extremely painful procedure] and make you eat your toes [nails first].
There, now I have relinquished most of my rights with no desire for monetary retribution whatsoever. Just acknowledgment.
Where does the story come in?
Usually as I select songs to be played, there is a general feeling/guide I follow. songs about money, love/romance, girls, cars, life's hardships, religion, war/territory and sexual prowess more than likely are portioned together in their general themes. A story [at least straight sentences] may form from these themes/song titles. However I am not always able to create an optimal story [my old english teach is crucifying me at this point], but the selections shall always follow a mood. [DYGWIS?]

in my world;
charts/radioplay and audience response define the popular songs currently.
a track is a song with a duration of no less than 6 mins.
dance is defined by fast pop.
techno is defined by commercial house/trance.
tech-dance on the other hand is housey with quicker hi-hats, noisier snares, synthetic or acid sounding synth melodies and some short vocals with raw electronic noises.
note:
mixes may contain offensive songs and/or explicit language and/or re-loops/stutters and/or slight sound effects.
cue sheets [ability to split mixes to single songs] and cue splitter [program that uses the ability] are available.
